Wipe Out Campaign: Going Plastic Free

Wipe OutAt the beginning of June I launched a new campaign within the Love Reflexology community for practitioners to encourage them to stop using wet wipes during their treatments and to find a natural alternative which is kinder to our planet.

The Love Reflexology community consists of 2,500 reflexologists from around the world and many have pledged to make the switch and have already started using natural alternatives. What a difference this will make 🙂

Most wet wipes contain plastics which are harmful to the planet and here in the UK are one of the main causes of drains becoming blocked. They have become a go-to product in most households with people using them to clean the home, part of a beauty regime or to use on children.

If you have been for a treatment recently you will know I too have ditched using wet wipes to support this campaign. I am currently using beautiful organic waters to spritz and prepare the feet before the treatment begins…..perfect for this sunny weather.

I hope you too could consider finding a natural alternative to wet wipes and join the campaign. As well as switching from wet wipes to natural products, we can also make many other swaps within the home which will all help the planet.

To help with some inspiration I have created a board on Pinterest to share ideas on how we can reduce the use of wet wipes and other plastic items in the home. I would love to hear what alternatives you find.

Have you ditched wet wipes or other plastic products, let me know below?
