Mental Health Awareness Week 2022- Together we can Mental Health Awareness Week 2022- Together we can tackle loneliness.

Did you know that one in four adults feel lonely some or all of the time? Source @mentalhealthfoundation

There may be no single cause or solution - we are all different after all and some of us are more prone to these feelings than others.

If we experience feelings of loneliness for a prolonged period of time we are more at risk of mental health problems, highlighting the importance that feeling connected can have to our well-being.

If you experience feelings of loneliness I have shared some ideas which you may like to try (swipe the images).

The past two years have heightened these feelings for many as we stayed at home and did not have the face-to-face connections we normally had each day.

If you know someone who may feel this way, please share these ideas with them or give them a call to check-in and see how they are. It could make the greatest difference to how they feel.
Hello 👋 I have had a flurry of new followers Hello 👋

I have had a flurry of new followers to my page recently so I thought it was time to say hello, welcome and thank you for being here.

I also realised because I still wear a mask in the treatment room many of my new clients have never seen ‘me’ well just my eyes lol!

I have provided reflexology treatments in Leicestershire since 2008, and I am passionate about supporting my clients and their well-being. I work in the beautiful market town of Ashby-de-la-Zouch from my private treatment room @thehealthworkshop

Taking care of our well-being has never been more important and I am here to support you.

As well as providing soothing treatments I am a Neal’s Yard Remedies Consultant and Affiliate for @lifearmournutrition I chose to work with these incredible companies as I believe in the importance of using natural and ethical products - what we put on or into our body can play such an important part in our overall well-being. I also care deeply about the world we live in…so these two companies matched my values perfectly. To view the product range available head to my bio for the links - there is an even a discount code for Life Armour too!

In addition to supporting my reflexology clients I also provide mentoring and workshops to therapists to help them succeed in their business. If you are a therapist you can learn more about working together in the bio.

If you are still reading (thank you) here are some random facts…just for fun!

Did you watch @davinamccall last night in Sex, Min Did you watch @davinamccall last night in Sex, Mind and the Menopause?

It was a thought-provoking documentary with some groundbreaking research to support our brain health.

I actually felt very emotional watching it as I have worked with many women in the treatment room who have struggled to access the right support. I have seen how their lives, careers and relationships have been impacted and I am so hopeful that this documentary and celebrities like Davina will help to make sure women no longer suffer such terrible symptoms or feel they have to leave their careers because of them.

I am passionate about women’s well-being and supporting my clients with reflexology as it can help to:
🤍 reduce stress,
🤍 encourage a peaceful night’s sleep,
🤍 ease tension in the body and mind,
🤍 and promote a greater sense of well-being.

I provide a confidential space for my clients to be themselves as they navigate the changes their body and mind are going through. A space to be open and honest, and to unwind.

If you would like more information about reflexology please feel free to visit my website at the link in the bio or DM for a chat.

And if you missed the documentary you can watch on catch-up…it’s well worth it!

Do you struggle to have balance in each day and of Do you struggle to have balance in each day and often feel tired and jaded with no time for things you love?

Use May as an opportunity to support your well-being by adding more balance into your day to support your well-being.

Making one or two small changes could give you a real boost to how you feel.

You could create more balance by:

🤍 Turning the notifications off your phone so you are not continually distracted. This will allow you to be more present and feel in control of your device. I did this over a month ago and it has really boosted my well-being;

🤍 Set a time limit for social media each day to create balance and more time for the things you love;

🤍 Go for a walk at lunchtime to add movement to your working day:

🤍 Use the word ‘no’ and politely decline extra tasks which you don’t have the time for. Saying ‘no’ can be difficult at times but it is an empowering word which will help you to create balance and prevent you from overcommitting to things.

As you look to the new month think of ways you could create more balance to support your well-being, use my affirmation to support you and let me know what ideas you have too.

Wishing you a wonderful May and I will look forward to seeing lots of you in the treatment room.

Must Watch 📺 @davinamccall Sex, Mind and the M Must Watch 📺

@davinamccall Sex, Mind and the Menopause. Channel 4, Monday 2nd May at 9pm.

Following the incredible documentary in 2021: Sex, Myths and the Menopause - Davina will investigate how the menopause can affect the mind as well as the body, revealing how symptoms such as memory loss and brain fog are decimating women at work.

Davina will also investigate the latest advances in hormone therapy, how the menopause changes the brain, and why testosterone is not just for boys.

The first documentary was incredibly informative and encouraged a number of my clients to reach out for support to boost their well-being. It really helped to shine a light on the menopause and the many issues women face.

I am personally really looking forward to watching this! Thank you Davina for discussing this important topic.

If you missed the first documentary, you can watch this on catch-up.

Did you watch the first documentary?
